TRAVEL
Gliding Over Rio

So far, I've set foot on six continents and visited 30 + countries.  I've taught in England, Scotland, Moldova, Slovakia, Brazil and the U.S.
I lived in the UK for several years and studied in France for half a year.  To bring in the new milennium, I went around the world alone.
Stops included
Singapore and five weeks in Australia/Oceania
.  Later, I moved to Brazil for six months, despite not knowing Portuguese.
I've paraglided over Salzburg's Sound of Music mountain, snorkelled the Great Barrier Reef and hang-glided over Rio.
I've also had several memorable adventures crossing eastern European borders.
In spring 2005, I moved to the California coast.

July, 2010 Road Trip:  Utah's National Parks & Scenic Byways

Great way to spend 4th of July, traveling Scenic Byway 12, the 'All-American Road.'  As you can hear, it was very windy.  Took lots of short videos since
(a) Utah is incredibly beautiful and (b) I wanted to practice talking in front of a camera.  Turns out, sounding natural onscreen is trickier than it seems!

CALIFORNIA 2009:

These days, nature holds the most appeal for me, so the West/Southwest is a wonderful area to explore.
It's a beautiful treasure trove of sunshine, vivid color and dramatic scenery.

Zion National Park, Utah

Though the lure of new adventures usually trumps the thought of writing up old ones, I Have managed, over the years, to compose a few brief

travelogues and a longer look at the nature of culture shock.  I really hope to get these travel pieces polished & published . . . eventually!
